BARBADOS’ HISTORIC run in tennis could be getting a further boost.
Far from retiring, long-serving veteran Haydn Lewis is now looking to return to the pro tour, having said the country’s Davis Cup results can only benefit from him playing more competitive matches overseas.
The 29-year-old Bajan No. 2 broke the news during his post-match Press conference just moments after Barbados’ heart-breaking Group I defeat to the Dominican Republic.
“I mean we’ve gotten this far with me not being on tour for the last three years so if I really get back out there and compete then you never know how far we can go,” reasoned Lewis.
