Bees stung hardest by disunity

DISUNITY WITHIN THE RANKS of the Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) is hurting its chances of success at the polls if the number of persons who think it is not sufficiently at one to govern effectively, matter.

Added to that its overall performance, though getting a passing grade, is not an outstanding number. Out of a possible mark of 10 for satisfaction with the job it is doing, voters gave the BLP 4.8 and on trust, 5.6.

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) got a 3.8 grade for overall satisfaction while the question of trust earned it 3.4. DLP supporters were slightly less inclined to give their party a pass – it got 5.4 marks from Dems both for performance and trust, while BLP supporters rated their party at 5.6 both for satisfaction and trust.

Interestingly, DLP supporters scored the BLP at 4.2 for performance and 4.0 for trust compared to BLP supporters giving the DLP lower numbers at 3.0 for performance and 2.7 for trust.
