A BARBADOS LABOUR PARTY member in the House is accusing the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) of kicking down the ladder its members used to achieve social and political success.
Dwight Sutherland who represents the constituency of St George South was speaking during the 2015 -2016 Estimates earlier today and centred his remarks around the position that it was the DLP asking Barbadians attending the University of the West Indies to pay 20 per cent of their tuition fee.
He said members of the DLP “preach fowl” and “practise turkey” and their “morning words” and “evening words” did not “add up”.
He said when free tertiary education was abolished the safety net that was there for the most vulnerable in the society was destroyed. (JS)
