Barbados take dressage crown

THE FOUR-MEMBER BARBADOS TEAM of Roberta Foster, Mackenzie Manning, Bree Anne Hurdle and Erin Stephany have won the Caribbean Zone 10 of the 2015 FEI World Dressage Challenge.

They ousted defending champions Cayman Islands, who had to settle for third position, in the event held at the Congo Road Equestrian Centre on March 15. Jamaica placed second, with Bermuda fourth, Trinidad and Tobago fifth and Haiti sixth.

During the prize giving ceremony at the Coconut Court Hotel last week Monday, president of the Barbados Equestrian Association (BEA) Monique Archer said she was elated but not surprised by the home team’s success. (CH)
