SECOND-SEEDED BARBADIAN GIRLS Cherise Slocombe and Kiana Marshall are in to today’s semi-finals of the  ScotiaBank/ITF/ Barbados International Junior Tennis tournament at the National Tennis Centre.

The Barbadians continued their run in the tournament yesterday, with a  5-7, 6-3, 10-8 quarter-final win over Csilla Fordor of Hungary and Y-kit Nicole Tan of Singapore.

They are expected to oppose Americans Hurricane Tyra Black and Julia Goldberg, around midday today.

On a windy day with bright sunshine, Marshall and Slocombe were forced to fight from behind and turned around the match with a combination of positive tennis and a few critical errors from their opponents. (BB)
