IN THE FACE OF a series of violent muggings and home invasions, top crimefighters are warning residents not to take any chances.

Lawmen want any suspicious behaviour reported immediately as they hunt down the criminals responsible for recent ambushes, kidnappings and aggravated burglaries.

Be vigilant, the police are warning in the midst of round the clock investigations to catch the gun-toting bandits involved, two of whom have been described as clean shaven and posing as from state agencies on official business but proceeding to rob the unsuspecting senior victims. The attacks have taken place in St James, Christ Church, St Philip and St Andrew.

Acting Assistant Commissioner Mark Thompson, head of the crimefighting division, called yesterday for the public’s help in the investigation. (TS)
