Drivers hurt in accident

TRAFFIC ALONG Salters Road, St George, was brought to a standstill following an accident between a long-haul cane truck and a smaller commercial vehicle yesterday.

Driver of the cane truck, Philip Greaves, of St George, complained of injuries to the left leg and the left shoulder. The truck is owned by Greaves Transport Services.

Tyrone Franklyn of St Philip, driver of the other vehicle owned by Crane & Equipment Limited, received injuries to both legs.  

According to police reports the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions about 12:30 p.m. when the collision occurred.
