THE LOCAL ECONOMY is in for a major injection this week as a result of the CHUM FM Breakfast in Barbados Show.

A crew from the popular Canadian radio station arrived in Barbados this afternoon with 78 winners for the annual prize trip to Barbados. This is the 30th consecutive year CHUM FM HAS been bringing people to Barbados.

Even though the group is staying at the all-inclusive Sandals, talk show host Roger Ashby said he hoped the winners would use their $ 1 500 in prize money to patronise the local sights and shops.

The highlight of their week-long trip to Barbados is a concert featuring OneRepublic at Holders’ House on Thursday night. The daily show will be broadcast live every morning from the hotel. (YB)
