WHILE ATTORNEY GENERAL ADRIEL BRATHWAITE sympathises with the families of those seeking answers to police-involved killings, he said he had complete confidence in the force.

Brathwaite, speaking to the SATURDAY SUN yesterday after a Regional Security Systems (RSS) Training Institute hostage negotiation course at RSS headquarters, Christ Church, said law enforcement had acted lawfully and appropriately in investigating such cases, including the most recent Selwyn Knight shooting.

Brathwaite said the only thing he would like to see was the police engaging the families more and letting them know they were still interested in the cases.

In Knight’s case, on March 15 he and his son Junior were both shot by an off-duty police constable while they were chasing a man who had stolen items from their home.
