Man accused of importing 25 pounds of cannabis

A JAMAICAN MAN is expected to appear in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court today charged with importing 25 pounds of cannabis into Barbados.

He is 34-year-old Dean Dwight Wright who arrived in Barbados by air from Jamaica on Monday.

Police say his luggage was searched at Customs and ten packages containing cannabis were found in his suitcase.

Wright also faces charges of possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking. (PR/NB)
