Gift of foodstuff and tent

TWO NEW YORK-BASED groups have joined together to assist local organisations in need.

The first recipient of the generosity of the Idle Wilde Foundation and the Carib American Domino League is the Gordon Cummins Hospital, Rock Hall, St Thomas, which was presented with foodstuffs and a tent on Wednesday morning.

Hammy Reid, who was the brainchild behind the programme, said his plan was to donate items to a district hospital in each parish every few months. The two organisations raised just over $1 000 between them, which went towards the purchase of the items.
