A TRINIDADIAN WOMAN charged with importing cocaine into Barbados has been remanded to Dodds Prison until May 20.

Twenty-two-year-old Leandra Figaro arrived by air from Trinidad yesterday and was interviewed by police and then referred to Customs.

A search of her luggage allegedly resulted in the discovery of a package of cocaine hidden in a false bottom.

When Figaro appeared in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court, she pleaded not guilty to charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

She will reappear in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court. (PR/NB)
