King’s chance for Wimbledon

THE ALL ENGLAND CLUB could be welcoming the all-Bajan hero next month.

Top-ranked pro Darian King is a swing away from creating more tennis history, having put himself in line to earn an invitation to the qualifying event of Wimbledon after climbing to a career-best ranking of 251 this week.

“The last two years the cut-off for the Wimbledon qualifying has been around 260 so I believe he has a great chance of making it in the draw and creating history again for Barbados,” reasoned King’s brother and coach Chris King.
