Exploring UWI options

AN EDUCATION at the University of the West Indies (UWI) is still affordable to Barbadians, and there are 300 new scholarships and bursaries to help those in need.

Those are just some of the options available to existing and would-be students, who might be thinking that the 20 per cent of the tuition cost they were now required to pay was beyond their reach.

Speaking at the third finance fair within the last year, which was held at the 3Ws Oval yesterday, business development officer at the Cave Hill Campus, Sonia Johnson, said the idea was to bring all the financial agencies which could offer solutions to students, in the same space.
