Another Class 4

THE SAGA involving champion netball school Blackman and Gollop and the National Sports Council (NSC) took another twist yesterday when it was realised that another primary school’s B team have been competing in the Pine Hill Dairy-sponsored tournament with Class 4 students.

Since the start of the league over a week ago, Blackman and Gollop were being asked to withdraw their B team as the presence of Class 4 girls in that team contravened an agreement made with the NSC and some physical education coaches in 2014.

Last Wednesday, Blackman and Gollop were told by the NSC that their B team comprising all Class 4 students were illegal since an agreement was made that any B team would be developmental comprising Classes 2 and 3 girls. On that same day Mount Tabor refused to play the Blackman and Gollop B team in their scheduled match.
