SIXTY YEARS of marriage. And the serenity on the faces of 85-year-old Joseph Green and his 90-year-old wife Helen says it all: that they are quite happy with the record they have set.

It was a special occasion for the couple when they attended church at Belair Seventh Day Adventist Church, near Market Hill, St George, to mark the milestone yesterday.

Pastor Granville Hinds told the Greens of Claybury, St John, and who have been attending the church for about ten years, that God had “been extremely good to you over the past sixty years . . . no matter what might come your way continue to be in love with Jesus and he will see to it that you enjoy the rest of your days together”.
