WHO SAYS the women shouldn’t be playing among the men?

Certainly not Shaquana Quintyne.

The Barbados Women all-rounder gave them 159 big reasons why they should, blasting a huge unbeaten century against Earthworks Melrose in their Barbados Cricket Association Division 2 fixture at Bridgefield yesterday.

Hitting the ball to all parts of the ground, the Windies teen titan smashed 19 fours in her unbeaten knock of 159 while helping the Barbados Women to a draw as the lasses racked up 241 for seven.

So dominant and ruthless was the performance that Quintyne took only 116 balls to register her century before continuing to flay the hapless Melrose bowling up to the close of play.
