STUDENTS OF THE Hilda Skeene Primary School are in a better position to learn about China and the wider world thanks to a donation of a number of computers to that St Philip institution by the Chinese government this morning.

Chinese Ambassador to Barbados Wang Ke led a delegation to the school and spoke of the relationship that existed with the school.

The ambassador presented five desktop computers  and printers  of a Chinese brand to the school “to provide students more access to advances in computer technology”.

Personnel from the Confucius Institute of the University of the West Indies also accompanied the ambassador  who said their role was to teach the Chinese language and introduce the culture to Barbados. (JS)
