Kyle Hope and Jared Gilkes engineered an impressive four-wicket win by ESA Field Pickwick over Lee’s Bistro Carlton to qualify for the semi-finals of the Sagicor General Twenty20 competition when the third quarter-final was played at Kensington Oval on Friday night.
The pair added a crucial 89 for the fourth wicket after Pickwick had slumped to 33 for three in the tenth over, replying to Carlton’s 141 for three from 20 overs.
Both were dismissed before victory was achieved but Rommel Small, coming to the crease with three required off three deliveries, lifted the fifth ball of the final over straight overhead for a boundary that took Pickwick over the line.
