Teams upbeat for T20 opener

The encore might just be better than last year’s nail-biting final.

That’s the feeling you get about the opening game of the Hero Caribbean Premier League between champions, the Barbados Tridents, and the squad they beat in the final, the Amazon Warriors, of Guyana.

Both camps were upbeat yesterday at the official launch at West Terrace Primary School.

Tridents skipper Kieron Pollard just can’t wait to get on the field: “I’m looking forward to it, we are very excited and looking forward to get on the field and getting our confidence started.”
