THE BARBADOS Family Planning Association needs your financial donations.

“We really want people to understand that for every $20 given to the Barbados Family Planning we can help a woman we would be able to give her a free chlamydia swab or we can give a man a free rapid prostate test,” Executive Director Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland while addressing the annual awards ceremony at the Barbados Yacht Club on Saturday night.

The Executive Director also said the association, which observed its 61st anniversary last week, wants “people to hold fundraisers, collect donations particularly for our youth and our cancer prevention programmes and we’re looking towards the private sector for donations or in-kind exchanges”.

It is also in need of volunteers to work in the areas of community education and technical assistance.

Madame Justice Jacqueline Cornelius delivered the feature address. (GBM)
