Economy showing ‘signs of recovery’

A SENIOR EXECUTIVE in the construction industry says he is seeing light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the Barbados economy.

Bjorn Bjerkhamn, head of the JADA Group of companies which is behind the multimillion-dollar Port Ferdinand Marina and the luxury St Peter’s Bay resort and residences on the West Coast, made the comment as he left an exclusive private sector session at Hilton Barbados yesterday morning.

The closed-door, by-invitation-only breakfast event was hosted by the Royal Bank of Canada at which it welcomed some of the biggest names in the local private sector to a session on the Barbados economy’s performance.
