Medals splash

THEY MAY BE small in number but Barbados with wondergirl Danielle Titus leading the way is punching above its weight at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Confederation (CCCAN) Swimming Championships at the Aquatic Centre.

Barbados captured 12 medals on the opening night of competition on Tuesday. The swimmers bagged five gold, two silver and five bronze medals.

Titus delivered Barbados’ first medal in fine style early on Tuesday night, smashing a record which stood for 36 years.
