ABIJAH HOLDER-PHILLIPS’ classmates are still coming to terms with his untimely death.
Yesterday at Welches Primary School, from which Holder-Phillips graduated last Friday and was to attend Queen’s College, classmates described him as a dedicated student who loved art and sports.
“I remember he and another boy introduced me to the classroom, but I didn’t take the opportunity to be his friend at the time. He was a very loving boy; when I heard he died, I couldn’t believe it,” said Anayah Hall.
The students spoke of the way they found out Holder-Phillips had been killed in a car accident on Friday, saying the manner in which they were told was often disrespectful and flippant, which made the news even harder to process. (CA)
