Leave ‘no country behind’

COMMONWEALTH SECRETARY GENERAL Kamalesh Sharma is urging regional leaders to make sure no country is left behind.

Speaking yesterday at a high-level forum at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre under the theme CARICOM – Vibrant Societies, Resilient Economies: A Partnership for Implementation, he said investing in youth would be vital in this endeavour.

“All programmes must pull in the same direction with the same goal. No country, irrespective of income level, must be allowed to be in a state of freefall. To get away from this vulnerability, the youth are absolutely essential,” he said.
