THERE WILL BE a total shutdown of Barbados if the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) does not get any resolution by Friday in the matter involving the former employees of the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC).
This was announced yesterday by general secretary of the NUPW, Roslyn Smith. The union moves into Phase 2 today by calling out its strongest department, the Sanitation Service Authority.
“Effective tomorrow (Wednesday) there will be no collection by the Sanitation Service Authority and that will continue for the balance of the week.
