THE BARBADOS Revenue Authority (BRA) has cautioned business and members of the public to be “extra vigilant” in relation to “counterfeit cheques that falsely appear to be issued” by that organisation.

In a media release, BRA said there was one failed attempt by a member of the public to cash a false cheque.

That incident has been reported to the Royal Barbados Police Force and anyone who is suspicious of any such cheques should inform BRA and the police. (PR)
