GRADUATING STUDENTS of Harrison College have been urged to pursue what they love and help those they can.
The advice came from Krystal Boyea (below), who delivered the featured address at the graduation held at the school on Saturday.
Boyea, who has been battling diabetes from age ten, used her life of trials with the disease and repeated failures at school, an overseas university and her first job out of university to show them the importance of finding what they loved and following it with a passion.
“Marie Curie has a quote that says life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.
“What is your something? What is your passion? What do you want so bad in life that even takes being uncomfortable to attain it?” she asked. (YB)
