THE NATIONAL UNION of Public Workers is planning its response to Minister of Labour Senator Dr Esther Byer’s charge that the unions misrepresented the offer which was put on the table by the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation yesterday.

NUPW president Akanni McDowall said he would first be having a series of consultations.

“I have had a meeting with our lawyer Pat Cheltenham. We are going to have a meeting with the executive and then we are going to make a public statement in response to what the minister said.

We are planning to contact our copius note-taker Patrick Frost and we are going to be contacting the Barbados Workers Union who is also one of our major partners in this whole process,” he said. (Barbados Nation)
