CEASE AND SETTLE!

This is what Barbados’ private sector wants to happen as industrial relations unrest continues.

They are so concerned that their governing body, the Barbados Private Sector Association (BPSA), wrote Minister of Labour Senator Dr Esther Byer about it last Friday, pledging their willingness to deal with any matter should the subcommittee of the Social Partnership be reconvened.

They also called on Byer to lead the process to return the island to a climate of good industrial relations, stating that this was the bedrock for economic development and investor confidence. (SP)
