BDF still champions

THE BARBADOS DEFENCE FORCE Sports Programme (BDFSP) didn’t kick a ball on Thursday night but were officially crowned Digicel Premier League champions for the third straight year.

Title contenders Rendezvous had to settle for second position in their debut Premiership season with a 2-1 victory over Weymouth Wales. They finished level with the BDFSP on 38 points but had an inferior goal difference of 11.

The University of the West Indies (UWI), fellow Premier League debutants, earned third place after easily brushing aside Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame 3-0 when the final round of matches was completed at the Barbados Football Association’s Wildey AstroTurf. (ROG)
