PUDDING & SOUSE: Pushing his luck

THINGS ARE NOT looking so good for an officer who wants to be a gentleman.

He had been given a helping hand by a friend of a loan so he could buy a plane ticket for his female friend to travel overseas.

The truth is that the officer of the forces simply cannot afford the lifestyle the woman wants and that he keeps promising and trying to give.

Rather than try to deal with his debts, this Mr Charmer keeps making and breaking promises. He said the money would come from a meeting turn he was getting, then at the appointed time said the money was given to someone else. He has since indicated that the income tax refund would be used to pay off the loan, but that has come and apparently gone.

So now this officer is doing the dogging game, not taking the calls from his kind friend, but leaving the cellphone at home for the sweet lady to answer. But he is being warned to make good on his debts, otherwise his friend in time of need has promised to reveal all to the young lady and to the dogger’s superiors.

Fashionista in the dock

A YOUNG FEMALE sales executive known for her Remy hair, flashy clothing and fancy shoes must be walking holding her head in shame after being arrested and charged for theft.

This lass, who does not miss a fete during the Crop Over season, was in the dock recently after she was caught red-handed. Her friends have been saying that she just could not give the authorities the slip near a Dome while trying to get away with some big ’mout drinks from the masters from Port of Spain.

This woman loves to frequent the VIP sections at the fetes where she makes her usual high-profile appearance, but some close to her are saying she is unlikely to be seen or heard at the remaining events for the season.

The whole situation has been embarrassing for the fashionista. Her friends are saying that she will perhaps now realise what it means to be a true copier.

Cellphones kicking

THE UNCERTAINTY across Barbados on Thursday may have brought a jackpot for cellphone providers.

A number of outlets where people go to pay their bills reported slower than normal bill payment, except for people topping up their phones. No water, light nor money for the people in the Pine. Rather, people were concentrating on topping up and apparently in bigger quantities than normal.

Apparently people were determined to stay in touch regardless to whether cousin Jenny paid a visit or not.
