Junior Kadooment ‘a big success’

WHILE THIS year’s Junior Kadooment got off to a shaky start, it was hailed as a major success.

In association with Cave Shepherd and the Barbados Lumber Company, the proceedings were scheduled to begin shortly after 9 a.m. but by that time, both patrons and designers were outside their respective gates, none of who were very happy about it.

It was reported that security checks were responsible for the delays.

Around 9:30 a.m. members of the Department of Emergency Management were seen talking to police officers and the all clear was given.

Patrons were allowed to enter, and around a half hour later, Charlie the Crime Stopper gave an energetic performance to signal the beginning of the festivities. (CA)
