Barbados’ head athletics coach at the Pan Am Games doesn’t seem the least bit surprised by the country’s historic returns, saying that each of the three medallists came into the meet extremely prepared for the level of competition.

Babb expressed the sentiment after second-place 100 metres finisher Ramon Gittens, and bronze medallists Akela Jones and Shane Brathwaite helped Barbados achieve their best ever showing at a Pan Am Games last week.
