IT WAS FIVE MINUTES of pure, unbridled “Ram-demonium”.
Strangers on the left and right were jumping and chanting long before Peter Ram’s name was called. And by the time he crossed the stage around 10:35 p.m., Bushy Park was inundated with chants of “hey! hey! hey! hey! hey!” and flags flying high, bearing the name of the song that locked up the Party Monarch game: All Ah We.
Peter Ram’s performance was simple, but the voracity of the song meant he did not need much to win over the audience, which was no doubt waiting to see what the Yella African had planned for his MQI 98.1 The One Party Monarch showing.
A history of the mixing and mingling of Caribbean culture prepared the stage for the seasoned performer’s appearance on stage.
