A STEEP FINANCIAL mountain to climb.
That’s how big the challenge is for the Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) to cover expenses for hosting the 15th Caribbean Elite Road Race Championships in October.
President of the BCU, Keith Yearwood, said it will take $200 000 to stage the project, but his organisation is still some way off from reaching this target.
“We are sincerely reaching out to the corporate sector and anyone who can help because this is a great opportunity to expose Barbados as a sports tourism destination,” Yearwood told NATIONSPORT.
