THE CROP OVER FESTIVAL will remain an all-inclusive party.
But Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley is promising that stakeholders of the annual festival will have dialogue to better manage how simultaneous events are held in the future.
His comments came last night after concern was raised that a private entity based in neighbouring Trinidad and Tobago again staged a private event Friday night during the same time-frame as the Foreday Morning Jam, a national event sanctioned by the National Cultural Foundation (NCF).
The private entity, operating as a band named Caesar’s Army, held a private function in Vaucluse, St Thomas, which attracted more than 1 000 patrons, many of them Barbadians.
