Man accused of drug smuggling

A JAMAICAN MAN is expected to appear in court today accused of attempting to bring seven pounds of cannabis into the island.

According to police, 46-year-old Richard Clive Sewell arrived by air from Jamaica on Saturday and was interviewed by police and referred to Customs.

A search of his suitcase allegedly revealed ten packages of cannabis hidden in a false compartment.

Sewell faces charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. (PR/NB)
