IT IS UP to the armed forces to show what a healthy community must look like and how it must act.
So it is imperative that the Barbados Defence Force is (BDF) not infiltrated by society’s negative trends, said Reverend Roslyn Harper-Johnson yesterday.
The priest was giving the sermon at the BDF’s 36th anniversary church service at the St Matthias Anglican Church, Christ Church.
“Today we must reflect on what we have done to build our force and our community and what we can do to make it better,” she said.
“It must be on the forefront of our minds how the BDF can maintain a sense of community in a country where the social bonds have been steadily eroding.” (CA)
