Camp teaches money matters from early

OVER 100 CHILDREN are better equipped to manage their money and resources.

This is so after they attended Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperative Credit Union Limited (BPWCCUL) four-week Thrift Club Summer Camp, where more than 104 children from age four up participated.

“This is the age to start … I can attest to what happens when they do not get it at this age: learning about managing money, being thrifty and using your resources wisely. When you become a full-grown adult the habits that you develop are really hard to break,” said marketing officer Tracia Pounder.
