Boy ‘held’ for arson

A TEN-year-old boy has been identified as responsible for setting fire to a display rack at Jordan’s Supermarket on Baxters Road last month.

Police confirmed that they had identified the boy, who lives near the supermarket.

When contacted yesterday, Jordan’s store manager Corrine Ramsay-Bruce confirmed that a child was involved but said the supermarket had taken a decision not to press charges.

“It was a little mischievous on his part,” she said.
