Gunshots ring out again

MORE GUNFIRE ERUPTED in two districts over the weekend, resulting in three young men suffering bullet injuries with two of them detained at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

And two armed masked men left empty-handed after they held staff and patrons at gunpoint at a fast-food operation on Saturday night.

Cousins Ridge Williams and Donte Alleyne, both 18, had to run for their lives late Saturday after two masked men armed with guns opened fire on a group of men liming under a tree known as the “tamarind gaza” at Whitehall, No. 3, St Michael.

While Alleyne, of Allamby Gap, Spooner’s Hill, St Michael was treated and discharged after a bullet left a hole in his right calf, Williams, from the same neighbourhood of the shooting, was being prepared for surgery yesterday evening for a gunshot wound to his buttocks.
