MINISTER OF Education Ronald Jones showered praise on the 54 Barbados Scholarship and Exhibition winners yesterday.

“You can count yourselves among the brightest in the Caribbean . . . but you did not do it alone; every sphere of endeavour has to do with the home [and your teachers],” he said.

Jones told the assembled youth, who were taking part in the annual meeting with ministry officials, not to let anyone make light of their achievements or make them feel ashamed to be smart, as Barbados and the world needed more brilliant people like them.
