Waterfront Cafe back in business

AFTER NEWS BROKE that Bridgetown’s cuisine mainstay would be closing its doors, many patrons feared that it was the end of an era; but chef Max Benz and restaurant manager Robbie King have taken it out of the fire, and added their mix back into the frying pan.

The Waterfront Café is back.

In May, long-time restaurant owner Sue Walcott announced that after 31 years of operation, she would be retiring, selling the business and shutting up shop.

Enter Benz and King, who have paired up to add their own eclectic experiences to the already jazz-infused Careenage marina front café.

“I think we have started the right way. We feel comfortable with each other, and that’s the key it will work,” Benz said.
