AS PRINCIPAL Jeff Broomes heads towards retirement, he gave a few words concerning his views on teaching in Barbados and revealed his latest project.
He was speaking to the media recently during a briefing at Parkinson Memorial School.
“The major problem with education in this country is there are too many educational leaders who see themselves as tail lights.
“I see myself as a headlight, charting the way forward while not compromising the vision of others, but some lack the vision to lead or are too cowardly to [face] criticism,” he said.
Broomes said there were two options in life: do things the right way or do the right thing, adding the latter was how he had always lived his life. (CA)
