Lashley: Speed tables bearing fruit

MINIBUSES and ZR vans utilising the River Van Stand have been forced to slow down with the implementation of speed tables along Nursery Drive, The City.

Following construction of the tables earlier this month, Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley said they were fulfilling their purpose.

“Thus far the speed tables have had a positive impact.

“Before, the vans used to move unhindered [through Nursery Drive]. They would get to the top of the gap as quickly as possible and bunch up there.

“Now they have to take their time, and the traffic on the main road is flowing more smoothly,” he told the DAILYNATION.
