Money ‘by the hook or crook’

BARBADOS HAS PRODUCED a type of individual who will use any means necessary to get money.

This is the view of coordinator of the September 3rd Foundation, David Comissiong, during a Press conference yesterday to update on the commemoration of Campus Trendz tragedy that claimed the lives of six young women six years ago.

Speaking at the Clement Payne Cultural Centre, Comissiong said that the September 3rd Foundation was created in remembrance of those who perished in the fire and for those who died in “senseless” acts of gun violence.

“If we are to grapple with this spike in crime and further a better community, we must keep those things in mind . . . . If those six young women can cry out to us and tell us to wake up, then their lives have clearly not been lived in vain,” he said.
