Silver dollar drive to raise $6 000

A ST MICHAEL-BASED community group is looking to raise $6 000 to help the disabled and disadvantaged in society.

The Community Services For The Disadvantaged Social Club is stepping up the ongoing assistance they provide to people in select communities across Barbados, by holding a Silver Dollar Drive Funday & Fair at Jubilee Gardens on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

And president Desmond Hoyte is hoping that the generosity Barbadians continue to show in these harsh economic times will obtain  so that they can achieve their goal.

Hoyte said the Silver Dollar Drive was one aspect of the club’s Rebuilding Our Nation project.
