ANTIGUA and Barbuda has scooped up two young Barbadian footballers to represent the Old Road Football Club in their local season.

Mario Albert of Bagatelle Football Club and Direct TV Paradise’s central defender Zico Phillips have been recruited by Chesley Browne for a six-month contract.

“I want to hopefully become a professional footballer one day and if that does not happen, well, I would probably be a soldier,” the 23-year-old Albert told NATIONSPORT.

Albert is scheduled to leave on September 4, and said his main objective is to perform as best as he can to do Barbados proud.

The Greenwich Village, St James youngster has been playing football from an early age and represents Bagatelle Football Club as their goalkeeper.
