Call for Govt to shed light on Cahill project

CLEAR THE AIR on the Cahill Project to stem the divisiveness it has generated.

That’s what the Barbados Private Sector Association (BPSA) is urging Government to do.

In an August 14 letter to Prime Minister Freundel Stuart thanking him for convening the Social Partnership meeting last July 31, BPSA chairman Alex McDonald said the Cahill Energy Plasma Gasification Plant project needed to be addressed “comprehensively and holistically” as the widespread negative discussion on it was not good for Barbados.

Plus, the statements made by Cabinet ministers had only fuelled further discussion. Therefore, full ventilation of the matter was needed, he added. (SP)
